Goodbye Old Friend

Tango doing what he did best! Sleeping in the sun Summer 2021

It’s with a heavy heart that we had to end 2021 on a sad note and say goodbye to dear old Tango.

Such an undemanding cat with the loudest purr, who we will miss terribly. He was 18 an a half, so pretty good age but still sad to say goodbye.

He was as much a part of “The Old Sun” team and made friends with lots of the campers.

We have had some lovely comments from you so he clearly touched many hearts.

RIP Tango enjoy sleeping in the sun and chase rabbits up there.

Final preparations for Opening Tomorrow!

To say it has been a day of all seasons would be an understatement.  Woke to beautiful blue skies … then out of nowhere came the hail storms, then back to blue skies again …. and repeat, a few times!!

But we’ve managed to get the last few jobs completed before welcoming out first guests of 2021 tomorrow.

Really can’t wait to see all you lovely campers again….. on your marks, get set ……

First cut of the Year

The sun has been shining for the last 2 days so Graham was out on his ‘big boys toy’ cutting the field for the first time this year.  You can just about see the stripes! It’s certainly looking good.  The trees & hedges didn’t get the memo that it is now British Summertime.  Lets see how they change in the comming weeks
