First cut of the Year

The sun has been shining for the last 2 days so Graham was out on his 'big boys toy' cutting the field for the first time this year.  You can just about see the stripes! It's certainly looking good.  The trees & hedges didn't get the memo that it is now British Summertime.  Lets see how they change in the comming weeks

Beautiful Evening

Whilst our "human" guests are unable to visit we are delighted to say that our regular wildlife is enjoying the summer sunshine. We sit here tonight listening to many different birds, pheasants, blackbirds, robins, tits and finches of all kinds, swallows and swifts to name but a few. We have amazing views of the red kites and buzzards daily riding the thermals, today they were being mobbed by crows but still enjoyed their majestic flying. The foxes were barking quite loudly tonight and soon the bats will be out. So we raise a glass to you all and really hope we will see you soon. Sadly we still have no news regarding an opening date, but we are hopeful for 4th July.

Treasures that lay below

Living in an old Coaching Inn we often dig up old Clay Pipes in the garden.  Found a few more pieces to add to our collection.
